This August, Manolis Charos returns to follow your art gallery for approximately the tenth time with “Local Products”, an exhibition celebrating his long-standing creative dialogue with the island of Kythera.
The artist now spends most of his time on the island, working from his studio in Chora. For this year's exhibition, he has selected compositions that evoke the essence of summer: seashells, sea horizons, and the distinctive light of the Aegean —elements he employs to evoke a place beyond time, a landscape that exists through the gaze and in painting.
Kythera's landscape, with its imagery, atmosphere, and unique energy continues to nourish his artistic practice, providing the creative foundation for this new body of work in the “Local Products” series.
